Winners of the 2009 Animation Film Festival

Bay Street is proud to announce the winners of its 3rd Annual Animation Film Festival for bay area middle and high school students. The festival was judged by animation executives from Pixar Animation Studios and Ex’Pressions College for Digital Arts in two categories according to the length of the film, less than two minutes and over two minutes. An awards ceremony was held at the AMC 16 Theatres at Bay Street on November 7, 2009, where all submitted films were viewed on the big screen and watched by anxious viewers. Winners, listed below, were announced and honored with animation scholarships as well as a donation to their current school’s animation program. Bay Street’s Animation Film Festival was developed to encourage creative development and support youth art education.
